Blog #33 Who Am I Listening To?

I feel the need to post exactly who I am listening to these days. I love music very much and am almost always listening to some album or some artist at any given time. I am the type of person that when I find a new artist I like, I simply have to have ALL of their music. Or all that I can possibly find. I will find a sound or a voice or a song that I like and then it's off to my search engine to find out who they are, and where is ALL of their art? So if I were to turn on my RCA music player right now and read the beautiful artists that I've aquired they are as follows in alphebetical order.

House of Bodies film

Alexz Johnson (ofcourse)
Alexz Johnson has just had a film called "House of Bodies" released directly to Netflix. You can read her thoughts on it on her personal Blog. You can watch the film by clicking HERE. Music wise, Alexz recently released a demo of her song "Weight of the War" to her fans that were able to make a donation on her Pledge Music toward her latest album. Check out the song below.       Antony & The Johnsons   He is an aquired taste, yet for me, he's perfect. I love the sultry of his dark and brooding vabrado over his lucid piano and Pop World Sound. He has worked with the likes of Björk and Rufus Wainwright whom I listen to and love as well. I don't know about you, but I Torrent. If you don't know what this means, look it up. I support my artists when I can, but for some artists, especially the sort that I love which have been working for many years. Obtaining singles and rare songs, and old albums are difficult if not simply impossible to come by. So we have torrents. I love discographies. I need them when I love an artist and Antony is no exception. If you haven't heard him click play!

Kate Bush

I have to say, alot of the music that I listen to and love; I was introduced to by non other than Alexz Johnson. She has always stated that she loves Kate Bush's music and when I had the opportunity to meet her I actually gave her Kate's latest album '50 Words for Snow'. She was very excited as she hadn't even heard that it had been released. This was amazing to me because I have to admit, I was a bit nervous that she may have already have had it, but neh! Kate's discography dates all the way back to 1978 and I gotta say she is something amazing and in my opinion a complete MUST for anyone who truly has a love of music and is unbiased to one genre. I love all cultures, all era, all trends, and genres. Judee Sill

 

 

 

Beautiful Judee Sill passed away due to an overdose after only releasing two albums. Read about her on her Wiki. She is so pleasant and her music is so simplistic and beautiful. You will fall right in love with her... I sure did and there is a place for any good artist in my heart. I can lend an ear. Her albums are superb.

 

 

Chara

 

This Japanese princess is one of the most amazing voices I have heard to date. Her whispy whispers are dainty and very childlike but in the most respectable way that a singing voice can be portrayed. I finally found the perfect discography torrent for her, which I have been searching for for about a year or two since I first found her online somewhere. She is so amazing. Listen to her song "Call Me". It's my favorite but not even her best. She is a trip. Give her a listen.I was inspired to own ALL of her music, who knows maybe you will be too.

 

 

 

David Steele

I love his version of "Another World" originally sang by the Amazing Mackenzie Phillips. I love both versions but his so super beautiful too and completely worth posting here.

 

Paramore

 

Need I say more? They effing rock. I just got their latest album and it is so great! I am in love with Hayley Williams, you gotta check out this album, if you haven't heard it you are sorely missing out.
