So, it takes a lot for me to honestly admit a new artist into the favorite's list in my brain. But I believe that I've found just the singer/song-writer to delve into when I need something to relate to that is a bit different.
When I say different, I mean that she has a sound all her own.
I can honestly say that for someone who has just began seriously writing music, she is incredibly talented and her control in her modulations is breathtaking. I'm very honored and happy to say that she and I have been acquaintances for a few years via the internet because of our love for the amazing Alexz Johnson.
Over time she has always blessed me with kind and encouraging words of support amid many that were commonly not. She honestly deserves some recognition as the two pieces that she showed me really blew me away. She confronted me yesterday and asked me to have a listen, and being honest, I was like "I'm sure she's good, yeah, I'll have a listen and give her some words of encouragement."
I have to tell you that as soon as I started her brooding, melodic, and entrancing piece, "Dahlia" I was flabbergasted and had to rip it's audio and put it on repeat for a few goes at it's brilliance. With it's "Oh My My My love..." that just repeats in my head as her solemn voice lingers.
Her second interjection is a very telling and honest piece called "Selfish". I can really relate to the lusty and love-lost pandering lyrics.
She is a gem in her own right and I am so thankful and awaiting some new material from this very promising and strengthening artist that had me singing in the shower this morning.
